We first started Pet Sticks Manzanita in 1999. We had heard that manzanita made great bird toys so we looked on the internet and found that manzanita products were in demand.  We designed and developed safe, natural bird products, like perches, stands, and chew toys, constructing them with bird safe hardware (no zinc), because our customers animals needed a safer alternative to what was on the market.  Our customers love the 100% natural wood products and the toys were a real hit with the chew crowd.

    Along the way customers asked for more variations and we integrated organic and natural apple wood into our chew toys.  Our customers told us that their vets were recommending our bird stands and chew toys for good foot and beak health. 

    As Pet Sticks grew to become Pet Sticks Naturals, we phased out the manzanita perches and developed a new type of chew toy from apple wood for small animals rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, gerbils, mice, rats, chinchillas, sugar gliders, flying squirrels and birds.  When retail stores started asking us for products that they could sell in their stores and web sites, we decided to sell the apple wood chew toys wholesale. We tested our products with breeders, and retailers across the United States and had such good positive feed back that we continued to where we are today with sales in the United States, England, and Singapore.

    We received a new classification from the USDA organic program for our product and now with many other products tested and developed we will be launching new products throughout the next few years. We are the first to market these healthy apple wood chew toys to distributors and retail stores.
